Reading the headlines today is rather depressing:
- Rep. Tom DeLay is under liberal attack for defending Terri Schiavo's life, the unborn and all other sanctity of life issues. His statements about a judiciary run amok have drawn a tremendous amount of liberal fire. And they can't argue his points so they attack his character - and can't come up with anything substantive!
- The Chinese are growing in their Latin American influence - even exceeding the US influence there.
- China is mad at Taiwan for sending their president to the Pope's funeral.
These new headlines only add to the pile of moral, spiritual, and social decline of our nation and world. There is much more to add, but I'll not bore anyone with it now.
The good news is that Jesus is still on the throne, still leading the world to His expected end, and still coming back. The good news is that Christians are still leading some to genuine faith in Jesus Christ, and as such, taking them eternally to Heaven and into a place where sin has no power, presence, or penalty! Do you know Jesus Christ personally? Have you talked with Him today? I hope so! I have, and what a sweet fellowship that is!
