Our nation is headed the wrong way. You don't need me to tell you that. But those who buck against going back to God, buck against following God in the public arena, are those who are the problem - not MY opinion, God's. The same folks to are so vociferous and liberal are also the ones who know the least about the scriptures. They pass themselves off as experts and "know-it-alls" but they are simply fools with loud voices. Like the Pied Piper of history (not folklore), they lead innocent children to their doom, and so many in this nation that the country is following to that doom.
What does that have to do with leadership? Check out this passage:
1 Kings 14:15-16
For the LORD shall smite Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water, and he shall root up Israel out of this good land, which he gave to their fathers, and shall scatter them beyond the river, because they have made their groves, provoking the LORD to anger. 16 And he shall give Israel up because of the sins of Jeroboam, who did sin, and who made Israel to sin.In this passage, God gives up the nation because of the sins of the king. And the king not only sinned, but through that, caused the nation as a whole to sin. Sure, there were probably exceptions. But the exceptions did not persuade God to continue in His mercy. God's justice demands the nation's leaders to be God-followers, not God-provokers.
As we choose our leaders, may we choose leaders who will write and vote for policy that reflects the Lord's will. As we voice our concerns to our leaders, may our voice be the voice of the Scriptures in hopes that our leaders will write and vote for policy that reflects the Lord's will. For if it does not, then it will provoke the Lord against our nation and our leaders. I, for one, do not wish God's wrath upon any of our nation's leaders, and I don't want God to judge our nation. But if we don't turn back now, our time may very well be limited.
1Kings 15 shows that those leaders who accept and make policy that accepts false gods soon turn to homosexuality (sodomites) - and that provokes the Lord as well as worshipping idols. These are all things that are occurring in our high schools (including Bradwell Institute of Hinesville!) across the land. It is here, folks. Our window of opportunity to repent is closing!
