Just-A-Bunch-o'-Tho'ts

It's been a while since my last post.  Please forgive me.  Busy time.  My kids are in the final throes of their baseball/softball schedules, working very hard to win trophies.  Lisa won 1st place last night.  Matt lost out on Saturday morning past, and Joshua just made it to the championship game on Thursday (guaranteeing at least 2nd place and a trophy).  I'm proud of all of them.

Been thinking about my ministry - and it needs some attention.  Well, the people need some attention.  More prayer, more time with the people, and I need more of the Lord in order to do all of this.

In the news, the Black caucus is storming congress today to protest the nomination of Justice Brown.  Don't quite know what to think.  She seems a bit flip-floppy to me, but at least we got one through the gridlock.  Perhaps it is because she will occasionally put her morality aside, her dedication to the Constitution, and fall toward the liberal's view that everyone but Christians and children (unborn) have rights and morality has no place in society.  Don't quote me, for I don't really know her.  It is the liberals I don't trust, and what they accept is generally what promotes their agendas.

Also in the news, China is clamping down on blogs.  Check out CNS news' article on the matter (China Clamps Down on Blogs).  Seems like America's loss of freedom of Speech for Christians is even more advanced among the Communists.  Wonder which direction our country is going?  I didn't think the McCarthy era of American history was positive, but it is clear that our current liberal Democrats and Republicans would rather have a governmental dictatorship with the kinds of controls the Chinese communists have.  This is a dangerous path to take - American Christians must fight for our rights to speak up in all sorts of ways, or we will lose them altogether.

Enough for today.  Have a great day, ya'll.
