Reading the news again is always food for thought. Cindy Sheehan and her protests tend to take the headlines - especially since the liberal Democrats and Press want to support and aid her effort to discredit our President.
The latest in their efforts to "get through" to the President is to write letters to Mrs. Bush urging her to urge him to come out and "answer Cindy's questions." Our President has more important things to do, bigger issues than answer the questions of Ms. Sheehan (I use "Ms." because her husband and other family members have stepped away from her on this issue in a big way). I mean no disrespect to Ms. Sheehan. However, I believe very strongly that her actions are selfish, conceited, and she has a very basic problem - she does not understand cause and effect.
Consider CNS News' recent article 'Letters to Laura' Day at Camp Casey This article says (and I cut and pasted this quote),
"Sheehan complains that "George Bush is responsible for killing so many people, but nobody scrutinizes anything he says, especially leading up to the war."
The Drudge report quotes Sheehan as saying that "the biggest terrorist in the world is George W. Bush."
She doesn't understand the cause - terrorism - and effect - Afghanistan, Iraq, and the loss of some of our children's lives for the protection of our country. It is those who have the wanton, indiscriminant, in-your-face gore mindset that is the terrorist, not those who try to stop them. Consider the atrocities of the terrorists as they film the gruesome, bloody beheadings of innocent civilians. Consider the desecration on film of the horrific and cruel treatment of wounded and dead enemies as they drag them through town naked and then chop them to pieces before the entire world - only to use such a thing as a reason to celebrate in the streets afterwards. That is barbaric, inhumane, and quite frankly, deserves to be stopped by the applied, and coordinated power of the worlds most advanced military. It is not only America that is a target, but make no mistake, America is a target of these terrorists. Cindy Sheehan needs to open her eyes to the truth and get behind the good guys rather than aid the bad guys.
