And How Far Have We Yet To Go?
It seems that the morality of our laws have sunk to new lows, and our governmental systems, while seemingly compassionate, are really only doing their best with what little light they have to help them navigate the ethical questions of the day.
What has spawned such a commentary? Read the following article about how a Judge in Palm Beach Co., FL has granted a 13-year old's request for abortion. He says that the law requires him to grant it. DCF argues that it will hurt this young girl later in life. Others relate this to murder of a baby (as it is) like the murder of Terri Schiavo. None even mentioned the adoption option. How blind have we gotten? How more blind will we become? When will we let God's light rule our hearts, our heads, and our homeland?
Just another example of our Judicial system running liberally rampant. I mean let's face it, it's okay to kill the baby as long as that "poor" girl's rights are not trampled on. Right? They will be destroying this girl by allowing her to do this. Not only for the physcial risks but for the future psychological effects as well.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Terri Schiavo (taking the life of an innocent brain damaged woman), there is a case of a firefighter (you may have seen it on the news) who after being severely brain damaged for ten years in essence has "come back". He asked to speak to his wife and carried on a full conversation with her and also with visitors who came to see him.
HHMMM.......wonder if some judges right now are wondering if they jumped the gun a little. Certainly not I'm sure but it would be nice to see a little conscience showing.
