Today's post is kinda' jumbled - as are my thoughts all too often. Seems the world is going the wrong way quickly, and I'm powerless to do anything but stand by and watch it crumble. Ever get that feeling? And our country is at the center of the cookie - at least it is for me as I live here. I suppose those in Bosnia or Iraq would consider their country to be the center of the cookie - and I wouldn't take issue with them for that viewpoint.
Nevertheless, it seems that things are going bad - and indeed they are. But this is to be expected. I take my comfort from the Bible, which tells me about the direction of mankind. It tells me about me, my future, and the future of the world. All MAY have a wonderful future, and a joyous today. But not all WILL. It is dependent upon our relationship to Christ. Make that a good relationship - on His terms - and all will be well. What are His terms? Submissive, yielded companionship where Christ is the head, we the body. Those who refuse to relate to Christ this way have refused Christ on His terms, and their future will not be so bright. My hope for these folks is that they will turn to Christ before it's too late!
Having said all that, I must also say this to all who read this: God is still in charge - whether you believe it or not. God loves you - whether you believe it or not. God wants to take you to His heaven - whether you believe it or not. God has provided a way for you to get there - whether you believe it or not. If you believe it, then take it and let's remember that He is Father, not the world. Our viewpoint should come from Him, and our joy based in Him, and the truth that there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. Are you in Christ Jesus? I hope so. If you are in doubt or would like to know more, leave a comment, email me, or whatever, but don't let this one go any longer - for we all are one heartbeat away from eternity.
