Now there's a term that will make even the most ignorant person seem to be very well educated - "Judicial Oligarchy." But that's just what our nation is governed by these days. With the new concept of a "Living Document" being applied to the Constitution of our once Blessed United States, we have become ruled by a few judges who have the power to destroy any law, act, or decision handed down by the rest of our government (the President and Congress). States have no rights or authority except as granted by these few judges. Our votes may put representatives and Presidents in their offices, but these judges over-rule them.
One of the best recent explanations of how this "Judicial Oligarchy" came to be that I've found is entitled, "Supreme Court Sleight-of-Hand: How the Court Changed the First Amendment -- and Nobody Even Noticed." The op-ed piece gives case on case to illustrate the reinterpretation of our Constitution by our Supreme Court. This piece is not simply opinion - it demonstrates from FACT how these changes have come about - and what is startlingly obvious is the acquiescence of the American People - most of whom have never heard of such cases. That means these new interpretations have taken root behind closed doors, unbeknownst to most disinterested voters.
What to do about it? I do not advocate at this time a revolution or civil war to overthrow this oligarchy, but I would sure like to hear the thoughts of our founding fathers on that matter. However, it seems clear that we need to do something. Perhaps impeach and arrest those Supreme Court Justices that just can't seem to understand the Constitution clearly. Their failure to do so demonstrates a simple failure to understand the English language. Their failure to do so demonstrates their arrogance to assume they know more about the Constitution's framer's intent than the framers themselves. Their failure to do so demonstrates their ineptness at understanding basic U. S. History - and their audacity to try to re-write it to suit their OWN opinions rather than support and defend the constitution they have sworn to uphold. (Which, I might add, indicts both the President and Congress for allowing this Supreme Court or any U. S. District Court Justices to violate the constitution. These people ALL have sworn to support and defend our Constitution - not to re-write it. They all need some justice come their way - meaning arrest and imprisonment for treason against our Constitution.)
I know that's inflammatory speech, but that's just what these "authorities" and the "Judicial Oligarchy" would do to the little guy like me for much lesser things. Whatever happened to "government of the people, for the people, and by the people"? The people have no say these days - only five Federal Judges - a true "Judicial Oligarchy" who overthrows the will of the people every day.
