Thots on the Natural Family

If I said to you, “A natural family consists of a husband and wife and their kids” would you agree?  Of course.  But for the liberals, this unquestioned, but very observable reality necessarily means that same-sex marriage is “un-natural.”  Let them explain why that would be something we should embrace.  They struggle and come up empty.

Now, I’m not trying to rant and rave about the idiocy of the leftist philosophies and values.  I don’t need to.  I’m going to, instead, thank the World Congress of Families for replacing the term “traditional family” with “natural family” because of its accuracy and the clarity it brings to the discussion.  They’ve been trying to get the phrase out since 1997 – but if it weren’t for an article on CNS news this morning, I would still not have thought or heard of it at the close of 2005.  The clarity and truth this phrase brings to the debate is unconquerable and it exposes without question the idiocy of leftist philosophies about marriage, sex, child-rearing, and when taken to its conclusion, abortion, creation, and faith.

You see, the term “natural families” means that EVERYTHING else is un-natural.  Abortion is un-natural; childbirth is natural.  Homosexuality is un-natural; heterosexuality is natural.  Child abuse and sex with minors is un-natural; marriage as the institution whereby sex is designed is natural.  Evolution is un-natural – (for if there is survival of the fittest, why are there so many “un-fit” folks running around – i.e., homosexuals?).  Atheism is un-natural – history proves that man has, since the beginning of time, understood there to be a God overseeing the universe.  It is un-natural to reject that idea in light of history, evidence, and simply the way we humans naturally believe in God.

But this term “natural family” apparently drives the left crazy – and that’s why we’ve not heard it before now.  The liberal press is actually “suppressing” the term.  It is self-defeating to use it.  It is not the spin they want to put on things.  So what are the liberals to do?  Rather than engage in honest debate, they try to discredit their opponents with blatant and personal attacks.  They spin their rhetoric by calling their opponents names like “radical,” “extremists,” etc.  You’ve heard their spin.  It’s in the papers, Hollywood, and all over the T. V. media establishment.

I’ve said all of this to help expose the folly of the left.  Hopefully at least someone will read this, and say, “That makes sense.” Hopefully someone will see the need to clarify their stand by using the phrase “natural family” in their conversations instead of “traditional family.”  Hopefully someone will encourage their congressman to use the more clear terms.  Hopefully someone reading this will be moved to write an editorial in their local paper about it – and use the term “natural family” frequently.  Let’s make this phrase replace “traditional family” in every debate forum and news outlet.  Whether or not you believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Son of God that He claims to be, this is a world-wide assault on all that is natural.
