Do you think the anti-Christians of America are the ones with the spine? They seem to be determined to silence their opposition’s voice in order to perpetuate their folly and immoral values. Abortion is one of the key areas.
Let me give you a portion of a report on CNSNews (you can access the rest yourself, if you’re interested). It’s about a paper in Illinois that refused to run an ad by the local pro-life group – because a sonogram was included. Their excuse: too graphic (until they were asked to confirm that excuse).
Marjorie Signer, director of communications and policy for the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, agreed with the decision by the Herald News not to run the ads.
"The Herald News has shown good judgment in sparing the general public from this inappropriate material," Signer said. "National Right to Life has offended community standards for years with its vicious political propaganda.
"The Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice acknowledges that there is a wide diversity of sincere views about abortion, and we promote understanding and respect for these views," Signer said. "But the Right to Life ads are intended to inflame public opinion and create shame and fear about abortion, not to do anything compassionate to help women with unintended pregnancies."
The name of the supporting organization, the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) is, by definition, an oxymoron – unless their idea of religion is just that: religion. Reproductive Choice is a contradiction of Christianity. It is murder – and no appropriate rendering of the Scriptures will conclude any other thing.
However, it would seem that they are strictly religious and no nothing of morality, either. Their accusations against the National Right to Life are completely exaggerated, if not altogether untrue. The only community standards the NRL has offended are the liberal views that murder of helpless, unborn babies is appropriate – and don’t try to tell anyone otherwise. But truth is truth. And no one can do anything “compassionate to help women with unintended pregnancies” until they first acknowledge that abortion is NOT an option. NRL has supported and initiated many compassionate assistance efforts for women with unintended pregnancies. To accuse them of such is simply a lie.
It takes a spine to make such a bold censorship as this newspaper has done. When Christians refuse to promote things of this nature, the liberal left will open fire in the courts. The RCRC and the ACLU will scream bloody murder. And they force their will upon the people, silencing the voice of the Believer. Will Christians get a spine and fight back?
