Thots On Spirit of Anti-Christ

NBC’s doing it again.  They mock Christians.  I don’t suppose that mockery is any real big deal – except that genuine persecution is right on the heels of mockery.  The newest assault is, according to the American Family Association, a response to the Christian outcry which resulted in NBC’s recent pulling of “The Book of Daniel” after only three shows into the season.  Indeed, “The Book of Daniel” was a despicable show.  But the April 13th episode of “Will and Grace” will be just as mocking, making light of the heart of Christianity – the Crucifixion of our Savior – a solemn and life-giving event.

For more information, visit the American Family Association’s web page on the issue.

I’m getting sick and tired of being mocked and denigrated by the people who claim to want tolerance.  Who’s tolerating who, here?  They talk about freedom of speech while they simply want to abuse others and silence them for their efforts to stop it.  We live in a bully generation – and the media is often the bully – pushing around the little guy.

I want everyone who reads this to take a stand with me, and tell these folks that the bullying has got to stop.  Christian persecution and intolerance is Anti-Christ – and we all know what that means.  The Bible uses the term “spirit of Anti-Christ.”  I would say we live in an age where the spirit of anti-Christ is strong.  And our governing documents forbid this.

Being salt and light means making the country palatable, preserved, and purified from the filth that corrupts it.  It means shining truth on lies, injustice, and hatred.  They may SAY that the Christian is full of hatred.  They might be right – we hate evil.  But we love good.  Contrary to their views – they call evil good and good evil.  How backwards can they be?

Let’s stop it through unity.  Let’s unite as Christians.  Let’s do as the Scriptures call us to do and all of us love our fellow believers so much that the unbelieving will stand up and take notice.  One of the ways to do this is to engage the culture and protect our fellow Christian’s reputations through refusing the media the opportunity to bully believers any more.  Sign the petitions – all of us.  Call the networks and local stations – all of us.  Let’s unite across the country and end this bullying attack upon our fellow believers and countrymen.
