Just-A-Tho't On Being A Christian in an Anti-Christ World

Did that title get your attention? Do you agree that we live in a world that is anti-Christ? Why are so many in America and around the world trying to silence the message that man has been given a Savior (or that man even NEEDS a Savior?)? Why are so many trying to keep God out of the public square? Why are so many trying to justify destructive behavior and criminalize decency?

The news is full of stories like this. But Christians should neither be surprised, nor daunted by the attacks upon our faith, our way of life, or our persons. It was the way of the Jew in a world that knew not God. It was the way of Christ in a world that knew Him not. And Christ said it would also be our experience. Jesus said that because the world hates Him, they will hate us in whom He dwells. He said we are a Holy nation, a peculiar people. We Christians should be able to relate to the Jews in this way very intimately, and so should side with the Jews in every way possible (and trusting Jesus is where we part, for Christians trust Him, the Jews do not). Even when the Jews persecute Christians, we still share that with Christ for they also persecuted Him - nay, they crucified Him!

Yes, we live in an Anti-Christ world. But their efforts to silence Christians has only made the message of love, reconciliation, and hope all the stronger and bolder from the mouths of believers. While we will not convert the world, the world cannot convert or silence us either!
