Just-A-Tho't On The Future

I was reading the Coastal Courier Online this morning, and saw an OP/ED piece that was a Hinesville response to a Hinesville letter to the editor concerning people of faith passing on their faith as a hope for the future generations. The writer that started it all believes that we need to invite God back into our schools, homes, and community/national legal system. (See the Article, "Putting God back in society.")

I agree. Rejecting the Divine standard will only serve to degrade our society and rob our kids of a future that is guided perfectly.

But apparently someone disagrees and thinks that our society should remain secular, rejecting religion. (See the Article, "Government, not lack of religion, to blame.")

To this guy, I say, you are absolutely right -- we don't need religion, we need a relationship with Jesus Christ, and a social atmosphere where that is encouraged rather than discouraged. This guy disagrees because he doesn't know Jesus personally, and cannot testify to the power or the change experienced by that relationship. He, instead, promotes right and wrong as he sees it, without any foundation for determining that right and wrong. We don't build buildings without foundations; and we don't build society without foundations for right and wrong. Remove the foundation and the building (society) collapses for inadequate support and structure. The Bible says that we, like sheep, have all gone astray. Again, it says, everyone does what is right in his own eyes. Without the foundation of God's eyes (which see perfectly) we see wrongly, even when we think it's right. We need God back in our lives, our schools, and our nation's laws.

Our future depends upon it- or our present will see destruction.
