Did you know that our nation's Presidents (with the approval of congress and the Supreme Court) since George Washington have called our nation to special days of prayer? Yet for some reason, today we are not able to let our kids or lead our kids in prayer in school!??!
But as I said last night in our prayer meeting, this is the one thing that the ACLU has yet to attack - they've tried to get "One Nation Under God" out of our pledge; "In God We Trust" off our money, and the Ten Commandments out of our courtrooms. But they cannot stop a nation from praying if we so choose. There can be no law against a people who wish to pray (except, obviously, in schools).
So I ask you, will you observe this National Day of Prayer? Or will you let it slip by as though it never occurred to you? What will you pray for? There's a great prayer guide you may download from the National Day of Prayer website.
Please pray!
