Well, today’s the big day. And I got something added – the teacher for our Seniors class had a fall last night and won’t be able to teach. I’ve got to fill in! My first day in the pulpit and second day teaching. I just thank God that I got some prep time before this second teaching session.
Looking forward to this day, but also a bit nervous. Can I preach to their satisfaction? Will my family and I make the impression we need to make to be “at home”? They want us to stay, but are there hidden agendas and expectations which have “run off” others pastors? Are we making the right choice?
Then it comes to faith. We have come at God’s leading, and we must be confident about that. In Christ, all things work together for good to those who are called according to His purposes. Therefore, this is good!
But that does not eliminate our need for your prayers. The apostle Paul sought the prayers of believers when he embarked on God’s missions. Peter did, too. Therefore, it is no small thing to join their company this morning and request your prayers. And pray for Mrs. Louise who fell last night while you’re at it. Thanks in advance.
