Thots On the Morality Pendulum's Swing

I am shocked, surprised, and startled to hear that the battle for free speech and decency in our schools has reached feverish pitch in Kentucky.  I had always thought that Kentucky was a more “conservative” state.  But I’ve been wrong before on many subjects.

According to the Agape Press Article, Families Sue to Opt Their Kids Out of School-Mandated Pro-Homosexual Seminar, the courts get to decide yet another case.  However, this case is different.  Now the state has declared that students MUST attend indoctrination seminars that violate morality and faith. That’s an outrage.  What has happened?  When the families fight back, the school system stands their ground and mock them.  WHAT HYPOCRISY!!!  Just let the students be FORCED to attend the opposite seminar and see the officials go to court to defend themselves.

I truly hope and pray that the homosexual movement in America will go the way of abortion – the pendulum is swinging as Americans, their representative government, and now even the courts are beginning to recognize that abortion is killing.  Homosexuality is not, as some argue, a genetic malformation (like Down’s Syndrome), or a genetic variant (like the color of one’s skin) – It is a behavior, plain and simple.  When Americans wake up to that truth, when the courts and the legislatures wake up to that truth, then the pendulum will swing back where it should be and it will no longer be forced upon us by the few arrogant ones with loud voices and big pockets.

How have we gotten to this point?  It isn’t that there has not been enough debate.  Debate has been fervent.  Granted, the media has helped to perpetuate a huge number of lies on the issues, and supported the immorality that they embrace personally so often.  I suppose the battle has been “stacked” on the liberal, immoral side for decades as they have had the superior firepower of the media – “smart bombs” that hit us when we’re not looking and in places we could not anticipate – moving and convincing the judiciary (especially by working to get a sympathetic judiciary).  Long before the liberal movement had the resources of the modern ACLU, the liberal media was on their side.  Then the ACLU came alongside and voila, you have it all together.  Then science began to back the debate (but only the liberal scientists).

Funny how truth eventually wins out.  I think and pray that it will in this case, too – before our nation is gutted by immorality to the point that we can no longer reverse ourselves.
